We present you a highlight of an amazing round by Japanese player Junya "Noppo" Taniguchi, that took place during the final of Asia E-Sports Cup between his myRevenge team and Asking Questions from Singapore.
After losing the first best-of-three series in the grand final, myRevenge.jp still had a chance to take first place in the Asia E-Sports Cup due to coming from the upper bracket. A tight schedule at the Tokyo Game Show meant that the second series was not going to be played in best-of-three format, but instead it will be only one map to decide it all.
The deciding map was de_nuke and after an already tight first half, neither team was able to go into a bigger lead after the sides changed either, so the score stood at 10-10. Junya "Noppo" Taniguchi stepped onto the scene at that moment, facing a tough 3-on-5 situation, he pulled off an ace with three amazing wallbangs to turn the round around and seemingly give his team the needed push.
After that round, myRevenge.jp quickly brought the match to a close, winning 16-11 and getting to take the 800,000¥ (~$10,000) cheque home.
